Before Using This Medicine

If you are taking this medicine without a prescription, carefully read and follow any precautions on the label. For fructose, dextrose, and phosphoric acid combination, the following should be considered:

Allergies - Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to fructose, dextrose, or phosphoric acid.

Pregnancy - Studies on effects in pregnancy have not been done in either humans or animals.

Breast-feeding - This medicine has not been reported to cause problems in nursing babies.

Children - The fluid loss caused by vomiting may result in a severe condition, especially in children under 3 years of age. Do not give medicine for vomiting to children without first checking with their doctor.

Older adults - The fluid loss caused by vomiting may result in a severe condition. Elderly persons should not take any medicine for vomiting without first checking with their doctor.

Other medical problems - The presence of other medical problems may affect the use of fructose, dextrose, and phosphoric acid. Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:

  • Appendicitis, symptoms of, or
  • Inflamed bowel, symptoms of - Make sure nausea and vomiting are not due to appendicitis or inflamed bowel before using this product. These conditions may become more severe if they are not treated by your doctor
  • Diabetes mellitus - The sugars contained in this medicine may cause problems in diabetics
  • Fructose intolerance, hereditary - The fructose in this medicine may cause severe side effects in patients with this condition
