What are the signs and symptoms of the condition?

A person who has ophthalmoplegic migraine has specific symptoms involving the eyes. These symptoms may differ from person to person but most likely include the following:

  • double vision
  • droopy eyelid, known as ptosis
  • eye paralysis
  • other types of vision changes
  • severe headache pain
